2.4 Nissan Altima Engines for Sale, Very Affordable

Looking for Nissan Engines for Sale?

In 1993 the first generation of Nissan engines for the Altima were introduced. The 2.4L 4 cylinder 16 valve engines with 150 horsepower were made available. It was very reliable and fairly powerful engine for this car. Use of a chain instead of a timing belt reduced cost of maintenance significantly. It was really a ‘hard-to-kill’ type of engine.

The 2002 model year Nissan Altima’s have two types of engines in production. The 4 cylinder 2.5 L QR model engine went into use in 2002, and has turned out to be one of the best engines in its class. The other new engine to debut in 2002 was the 3.5L V6 VQ engine. The Nissan Maxima, Pathfinder and Murano all make good use of the 3.5L.

Both engines use Nissan’s patented continuously variable valve timing using what is termed a ‘silent chain’ instead of timing belt. I’m not sure what a silent chain means, but a chain beats the heck out of a timing belt setup.

These engines like most modern engines are heavily computerized, practically every function of engine operation is performed through a variety of sensors that pick up and send real time signals to the main engine control computer. Make no mistake about it, if your engine has a running problem or a failure, make sure a professional examines the car first. We have an ECU or engine control units for your car at a fraction of the dealership price.

So, are you looking for a somewhat used engine, remanufactured or rebuilt engines or something different? Perhaps you are hunting for an updated rebuilt motor for more power, this is a good solid engine to start with. We supply these engines to small ‘club road racing teams’ that take their cars to the race track on weekends.

The remanufactured engines come with a 12 month 12k parts warranty, and the price includes shipping to any business address in the continental US. Ask about all of our warranty plans. For $400.00 additional, we can upgrade the warranty to 36 months or 36k on parts and labor.

Learning about the basics of engine replacement is the best way to insure a positive outcome. We believe an educated consumer will ultimately make the best decision for their particular interests. A positive customer experience has a lot to do with our success. See what everyone else is talking about. Call GotEngines.com @ 1-888-344-8044 and ask us the questions everyone else changes the subject about when you inquire.

Buy Blueprinted Chevy 383 Stroker Crate Engines

Blueprinted Crate Engines for Sale

Blueprinted Crate Engines for Sale

When it comes to building a hot rod car or truck, the one thing tI can’t wait for is deciding which one of the many crate engines to choose from. Choosing the right engine is the name of the game. The raw unadulterated horsepower that throws you back in the seat harder than anything you have ever felt, gets my blood pumping.

Between the brand names, sizes in cubic inches or CC’s, horsepower, intake setups like fuel injection, turbochargers, supercharged, and options I’m not even familiar with now, is fun, but making the final decisions are agonizing. The burden is deciding if you want a shop-built motor which is also referred to as a crate motor, or a motor pulled from the inventory of an engine supply company.

On the plus side of a hand built custom crate motor, a dyno-tested engine is pieced together by hand to ensure you get what you paid for. You pay heavily for that hands-on touch. A crate motor can be conveniently delivered to your mechanics shop door. The majority of clients want something in the middle, something with power and flash, but good street manners. In those cases GotEngines.com, will sell you a quality built, and custom hand built engine.

We specialize in replacement engines, so quality handbuilt dyno-tested crate motors are on our list of engines for sale. With have the most popular standard order crate motors for Chevy, Dodge, Foreign and Ford applications in stock. It’s a sure bet to trust the staff at GotEngines.com, they have crate motors down to a science.

Buying performance parts from various top end manufacturers, designing some of the components in the motors, such as rods, lifters, pistons, bearings, gaskets, cranks, camshafts, and more, is one of our keys to success. Because we rebuild every motor to specs, each motor is a work of art.

On top of that, our giant stroker motors are hand-assembled by a veteran engine builder. Taking things one step further, every motor makes it to our in-house dyno to make sure the motor is in top running order and performing as designed, and to pre-break in the motor for the first start up. Therefore, all a customer has to do is drop the motor in and let it rip.

Call one of our staff members at GotEngines.com and find out how you can buy crate engines tailored to your exact needs and specifications. Packaged in crates and ready for delivery. Call and ask how we can setup the right crate engine for your needs. Ask about our unique warranty plan and find out about free shipping anywhere in the continental US. 1-888-344-8044.

Turbo Diesel Crate Engines Sales Center

April 28th, 2010

A great deal of the turbo diesel crate engines we sell go to small business owners who count on their vehicles to make a living. So when a major failure like an engine for instance happens, good products and fast service have to happen in order to solve the problem. It’s not like every small company can afford extra vehicles now a days.

Light duty trucks, are the super duty versions of 1 ton Duallie pickups like a Ford F-450 and F-550 Super Duty or a Ram 1 ton super service truck. I like the newer trucks and drive-lines they use. It is about time the manufacturers started using engines that can take the beatings they advertise.

Diesel engines serve the service our needs in many ways more than motor vehicle power. Diesels will outlast gasoline engines under severe service many times over. The ‘type’ of low RPM torque a big diesel engine makes is better for pulling heavy loads than gasoline engines. And they are more environmentally friendly than gas engines.

No doubt factory diesels last a long time, often hundreds of thousand of miles. Even with the best of care, when an engine hits 300,000 miles, it’s worn out, time for a brand new crate unit or a rebuilt engine. When you make money with your work vehicles, getting them running again, fast and reliably is like life and death and has caused many freak outs and nerve racking episodes, yup the boss has it real easy.

Here is my story. It is not about losing an engine in a work truck, but losing a key ingredient at my transmission shop that literally stopped production and gave me the same scare the boss of a company might get when their main work truck going to the best job they have had in a while loses an engine.

I had an 8 lift transmission shop, we had a giant 120 gallon compressor, it worked day in and day out. And we took care of maintenance. At most repair shops air compressors provide the main power for all of the tools and if you only have one compressor and it breaks, you’re out of business. My air compressor broke one day. It was going to take a week to fix it. I decided to buy another giant compressor and hook it up so if one or the other fails, I’ll have solid backup.

It’s not realistic for a small company’s to keep crated diesel engines in inventory if for an engine failure. The most sensible thing is being prepared, knowing who has the brand of crate engines in stock ready to ship ASAP and get your problem solved.

You guessed it, that is where we come in, one thinking pattern we share, take care of the customer. You have an big urgency to solve your problem in order to make your customer happy, while not breaking your bank account, and we have the tools to get any brand of turbo diesel engines crated and ready to ship right now. What Are JDM Engines/Motors For Sale?

April 27th, 2010
JDM Engines for Sale

JDM Engines for Sale, GotEngines.com

There are three main reasons an abundance of JDM engines removed from cars in Japan, end up in America as good usable engines.

1. Japanese people reply mostly on public transportation
2. Costs of driving a car in Japan are high, especially mechanical work.

3. They must pass a rigid inspection called “Shaken” which determines if a car is still suitable to be driven on Japanese roads, regarding safety and pollution.

As vehicles in Japan accumulate mileage, by 40,000 miles doing proper maintenance to bring vehicles up to standards required by the inspection can exceed the cars value. This is because anything more expensive than a tune up, most Japanese would consider a losing situation since mechanical repairs such as engine rebuilding or replacing are so expensive over seas.

The result is mechanics can charge exorbitant prices for willing consumers. Vehicles which cannot pass inspection are not allowed to be driven on public roads until suitable repairs have been made.

Vehicles that are going to be sold or gotten rid of must be repaired or recycled. Another alternative is to make a profit from some of the parts considered good usable in other areas of the world is to export the vehicle in pieces. As a result, many Japanese used vehicles or the parts from, are disassembled and exported to other countries right before or after their inspection, and of course the results of said inspection.

Here is the low down on the Japanese car inspection called “Shaken”:
The inspection system is in place similarly to why any inspection system is in place, to ensure cars have properly maintained emissions systems and are safe to be on the road. Another reason is to determine if a car has been souped up illegally.

”Illegally modified vehicles and vehicles deemed unsafe by police will have a red sticker with the following: fuseikaizousha (Illegal Vehicle) in yellow and the date the vehicle was declared not fit to be on the street.”

Many of these unwanted engines in Japan are low mileage motors in the vicinity of 40,000 miles, give or take a little. In America this is considered low mileage, and realistically speaking that is so. Since we don’t have a strict standardized emission testing program, or any federal auto checking programs, just state wide programs. Americans drive their cars until the engines need replacing.

JDM engines or if you want, JDM motors are then tested and reprogrammed to meet US emission standards. Once the engines are certified to meet our requirements we crate them up and put them in inventory for quick shipment. Call GotEngines.com and ask about our many warranty plans, once will suit you to a tee. 1-888-344-8044.

Chevy LT1 Crate Engines on Sale for Less

April 25th, 2010
LT1 Chevrolet Crate Engines 5.7L

LT1 Chevrolet Crate Engines 5.7L

In 1992, GM brought to life a new-generation of small-block Chevy engine called the LT1. It displaced 5.7 L or 350 cu inches and was a conventional 2-valve pushrod design. The LT1 used a reverse-flow cooling system which cooled the cylinder heads first, maintaining lower cylinder temperatures and allowing the engine to run hotter using more compression than its earlier designs, thus producing more power. It soon became quite popular and a demand for new crate engines was building.

This was the same engine that came in the interceptor ”cop cars”. A surprisingly fast engine when you consider it came in many of the General motors luxury cars as well as the high performance cars.

For instance I have a 1995 Buick Raodmaster Touring Elite Wagon, it has a cop car LT1 engine in it, and let me say this, there is no doubt in my mind that this car will out run half of the so called ”muscle cars” made today. It has to have some serious and smooth power to propel a 5000 pound car to 80 MPH in a few seconds.

With almost 80,000 miles on my car, the engine has operated flawlessly, except for regular maintenance such as engine oil changes and staying on top of your cooling system and the related components and you have a long life powerful engine. Factory tune up intervals are 100,000 miles, which leaves little other than my maintenance suggestions to take care of.

My car still exceeds 21 MPG at 70 MPHish with the A/C and cruise control on. You can buy all sorts of LT1 engines that may never have been offered in a production car. Most of the non production engines were for factory racing teams and other special interests that promote the racing side of cars.

The LT4 was a special high-performance version of the new-generation LT1. It was introduced in the 1996 model year, for the last year of the C4 Corvette, and came standard on all manual transmission (ZF 6-speed equipped) C4 Corvettes. The engine was passed down to special versions of the Camaro and Firebird the next model year.

Our concerns revolve around spending enough time with you to help decide which particular LT1 engine is #1. The proper replacement part number to match your car exactly, and #2. To supply you with one of our crate engines for sale that is possibly only an ”off the shelf” engine for a special need. Call Us Now at 1-888-344-8044. GotEngines.com

Mitsubishi 2.0L Engines for Sale

Mitsubishi 2.0L Engines for Sale

The Mitsubishi 4G5 engines, are a series of inline-4 cylinder, internal combustion engines manufactured by Mitsubishi Motors in 1972. Engine sizes included 1.8 to 2.6 liters, making it one of the largest four cylinder engines of its time.

Design using the famed hemispherical combustion chambers with a chain-driven single overhead camshaft (SOHC) and eight valves (two per cylinder). It produced an unusual amount of power for a smaller engine at that time.

In 1975, the Astron 80 system was introduced called the “Silent Shaft” system. The first use of twin balancing shafts in a modern auto engine.

Used in the first and second generation Mitsubishi Eclipse. Soon to become a staple in the small pickup line. Dodge used the same engine in the Ram 50 from 1979 to 1989. The 2.0L was either the stock engine or an option. Considered very durable and reliable.

We offer this motor in a fully remanufactured version with a 12 month 12k parts warranty the price includes shipping to any business address in the continental US. Cadillac 4.6l Northstar Engines for Sale

Cadillac 4.6l Northstar Engines for Sale

The Cadillac STS ((S-Series Touring Sedan) makes use of a whopping 300 horsepower using a 32-valve Northstar V8 Cadillac engine, which can easily take the car from zero to 60 mph in just 7.1 seconds. The Northstar V8 is light in weight making use of an aluminum block and cylinder head, with four valves for every combustion chamber. The valve are moved up and down by dual overhead camshafts, driven by quiet durable chains.

The Northstar V8’s intake manifold helps to efficiently channel air into the combustion chambers with outstanding effectiveness. Features of this one-piece manifold design are patented. In fact, there is a total of 16 U.S. government patents in the Cadillac Northstar engine.

In addition the Northstar Engine features a “limp-home” mode that keeps the engine operating without engine coolant. “Limp-home” allows the engine to continue running by alternately delivering fuel to only four of the eight cylinders. The four remaining cylinders do not fire, but continue to pump air, cooling the engine and allowing you to safely drive at 50 mph up to 50 miles for help. This of course is in conjunction with the two cooling fans that run in tandem or singular mode to provide quiet cooling in different driving conditions.

The Northstar features OBD II, which became mandatory by the year 1996. For all practical purposes OBD11 (on board diagnostics) became the universal diagnostic hookup for all cars, worldwide.

It also features a liquid cooled alternator for a quiet charge as well as longer part life.

The Caddy Seville was designed to travel up to 100,000 miles before a scheduled tuneup thanks to long life components like platinum tipped spark plugs and a distributor-less direct fire electronic ignition system.

Plenty of design and redesign has gone into this engine. A performance motor for your luxury sedan. Cadillac Northstar is one of the new breeds of go fast, noiseless luxury cars. Interested in Northstar engines? Our trained staff members will take the time to help you understand more about these particular Cadillac engines and how to choose one that suits your budget and best interests. Chrysler & Jeep Diesel Engines 1999 to 2001

April 22nd, 2010
Chrysler/Jeep Diesel Engines for Sale

Chrysler/Jeep Diesel Engines for Sale

Chrysler brought out several new diesel engines for export markets primarily, starting in 1999. The 3.1 liter turbo Diesel had an odd number of cylinders-five cylinders. All were designed to provide better fuel mileage, performance, and less noise, vibration, with improved manners while meeting Stage III emissions rules. They all have:

* Common Rail Fuel Control
(CR) with a high-pressure pump to achieve high injection pressures – 1,500 bar, yielding better spray atomization and fuel mixing for more efficient combustion. CR maintained these pressures throughout the engine’s full speed range.
* Pilot injection is a fuel spray which precedes the main spray to initiate combustion, made possible because of the precise electronic control CR makes available at each injector; it greatly reduces noise.
* Four valve direct injection brought 15% better fuel efficiency than indirect injection, and optimum positioning of the fuel injector for improved combustion characteristics. Direct injection is most efficient when the injector is centrally located, which is not possible in a two-valves-per-cylinder engine, where the injector location must be offset.
* Swirl Control (optional) at the cylinder head intake matches the air motion in the combustion chamber with the needs of the engine, without sacrificing the amount of flow. It is achieved by designing one port tangentially for maximum flow while the other is designed to induce swirl, or turbulence, to air entering the combustion chamber based on engine load and speed.

A better description of the engines and vehicles:

* The 3.1 litre turbo-diesel on the 1999 Grand Cherokee was developed in conjunction with Detroit Diesel. It has an electronic injection pump, electronically-controlled, vacuum-actuated exhaust gas recirculation, and a special catalyst to control oxides of nitrogen.
* The 1.9 liter was developed by both Detroit Diesel and FEV Engine Technology. Volume production began in June 1999 for cars. It met EURO IV levels, thanks to centrally located fuel injectors, direct injection, four valves per cylinder, common rail fuel injection; electronic EGR; turbocharging, and a special catalyst to control oxides of nitrogen.
* The 2.5 liter diesel replaced the existing 2.5 litre diesel in the Voyager, Cherokee, and Grand Cherokee. It featured balance shafts for reduced vibration, as did the gas-powered 2.5 and 2.4 liter four-cylinder Mopar engines. Gas mileage was expected to be 15% better than the older 2.5 Diesel, with more power. source: http://www.allpar.com/mopar/Diesel.html.

Since most of these engines were produced for foreign markets, less of them are in the USA. But many of them make their way here by different means. It is possible to have one of these engines in your vehicle. with that in mind, it becomes more important to buy engines from an outfit that knows exactly what they are doing.

Providing the right engine for your vehicle is our job from the time you first call us. We are GotEngines.com and specialize in all forms of engine replacement, even the difficult to get ones. Buy Acura Engines from GotEngines.com & Go Fishing!

Buy Acura Engines from GotEngines.com & Go Fishing!

The original design for the Acura Vigor was a mid-size sedan manufactured between 1992 and 1994. Something unique about this car is that it carried one of the odd number 5-cylinder longitudinal mounted (front-to-back) engines rather than transverse type of engine (front wheel drive).

Learning more about your subject is a good way to start, please read more. No matter what the engine model or engine related components, including engine control modules, we have it or close access to it. You will be sure to receive your parts in a timely manner and for a very competitive price. Make sure you ask, some engines ship for free anywhere in the continental US.

The low prices do not mean that the quality of the Vigor engines we offer are lower. The finest recyclers offer their Acura engines to us first because of our integrity and because we have been shooting people straight from the beginning.

Used engines provide a true value many owners of older cars are looking for. Especially in ordinary driving conditions. Most of the second hand engines are retrieved from newer cars that were in an accident and totaled. The engines are not a casualty, or it would not be a sell-able product, so no need to worry about that.

More to the point, we generally are not interested in selling higher mileage second hand engines unless you have an old enough car where we are not comfortable with the used prospects. In those cases, a rebuilt engine is a better choice if you are looking for a long term solution.

Not only do you get to choose from the ‘cream of the crop’ of used engines to sell, but the ones we choose to sell are put through a series of pre testing procedures to insure your motor will work properly both hot and cold and not have any leaks. It is one reason we can offer a solid confidence building warranty. Ask about our warranties, we have one exactly for you.

We don’t just sell engines at GotEngines.com, we sell confidence and customer loyalty. Our customers let us know everyday that we are doing the right thing. We know that our engines will exceed your expectations and our customer service is a hard act to follow, part of why we have outperformed the competition for years.
