Ford 3.8L Engines For Sale

If your Ford product is equipped with the 3.8L (232cid) V6 engine, you’ll probably satisfied with the engine, it’s very dependable and fuel efficient. It performs it’s intended purposed perfectly.

There are three main variations of 3.8L V6 engines that were used in Ford, Lincoln and Mercury’s.

The first type used a carburetor since the engine was made in the 1982-83 model years, before fuel injection was introduced in America, except for some specialty cars, like the Corvette.This version of the 3.8 had minimal power for it’s size which is why it was redesigned somewhat for 1984.

The second design was topped off with a system Ford referred to as (CFI) central fuel injection. Being produced from 1984-87. This motor exchanged the carburetor for a throttle-body type (TBI) injection system. Output power was increased about 15 percent, up to 120 hp. The engine used Ford’s EEC-IV (electronic engine control-lV) new system, allowing some of the systems to be diagnosed electrically. One of the earliest computer setups. Generally this CFI setup was very responsive and did its job well. The heads were updated from the carburetor version to work better with CFI.

The third type of 3.8L V6 motor was introduced for the 1988 model and used true fuel injection, a system called MPI (multiport fuel injection). This engine was redesigned so much that it shared little with it’s earlier models. And closely resembled the look of its bigger brother, the SEFI (sequential electric Fuel Injection) 5.0L V8.

These updates turned an adequate engine into a much more powerful and enjoyable engine to keep up with the times. Power was now up to 140 hp and fuel economy was also increased. This setup Ford called batch-fire. For the model year1988 only, an internal balance shaft was added to help keep vibrations to a minimum. This generation of V6 is definitely worthy, it earned it’s stripes with the semi high performance engine crowd.

Later versions of the 3.8L V6 motor were nestled in the Mustang, Taurus and Sable, Continental and Windstar. The engine block casting for use in the FWD cars was different in the mounting areas and will not interchange. In 1989 the RWD 3.8 was upgraded to a true SEFI system. For 1999, the 3.8 received an upgrade and improved intake system and a balance shaft (returns), for a solid 190hp.

Although not used in factory cars, there was a The third type is the 3.8 supercharged motor found in the 1989-90 Cougar XR7 and 1989-95 Thunderbird Super Coupe. This motor has it all, the turbo embellished everything about this engine that was good with not side-effects. Including increased power, removing vibration, fuel economy, and surprising torque right from a takeoff. The engine developed much higher compression because of the turbo and was adequately beefed up to accept the extra power. It’s not possible to use supercharged 3.8 components on normally-aspirated 3.8 engines.

6G72 Engine For Sale

6G72 Engine for Sale..Mitsubishi, Hyundai, Ford..Affordable

The Mitsubishi engines G6AT were manufactured from 1993 to 1996 for Mitsubishi automobiles. When used by Hyundai the SOHC version was called G6AT (3.0S) and the DOHC version was known as G6HA (3.0D) or G6HCX. Used in 2001 in the Hyundai Grandeur XG300

Also used by the Chrysler Corporation from 1984 to 2000 in their Caravan minivans. In a certain sense, we could refer to it as a global engine. Different variations were produced to meet each of the three different automotive companies specification for said vehicles.

Actually this is not a technical article for two reasons, there is no need to get deeply involved in technical details for the folks who arrived here trying to decide on who to buy a replacement engine from. The other reason is that the information plastered all over the internet came from Wikipedia in some form or another. Even if you arrived here for technical info, 99% of the top Google searches say the same thing.

My suspicion concerns solving the problem of choosing the right company and engine as a long term, low cost solution to your immediate problem. The fact is that many folks are not keenly aware that engines come in several replacement forms and that not all replacement engines are the same. Another issue equally important to most people is how long before my fresh engine arrives?

Both are legitimate questions. For instance if you use this car for work, that is a double whammy, you need to work, and you have to find a way to work, so you can earn the money to pay for the repair, and, therefore fast superior quality and immediate action becomes of prime importance.

A well structured company with excellent ownership is a good start. The whole idea is to offer a variety of replacement choices, all of which have passed a potent pre-testing procedure to insure success right from the first start up. Another critical point is to have said products packaged, marked correctly and ready to ship the same day or the next day, thus shortening the whole process.

Our main goal is to prevent panic, it’s easy to panic when one of your cars goes down. We have spent many years counseling our clients on how to choose the best replacement engines for your vehicle. We ask questions and provide some basic information so we can proactively decide what engine suits your budget and meets your need.

You can bet we have one here, packaged and ready to go. Please don’t forget to ask about our variety of warranty plans and don’t be surprised if the shipping is free. But you have to ask, I really don’t have any idea about those subjects. More people come to us to satisfy their motor needs than any other company on the internet. Need a ‘turnkey’ engine for sale? GA16DE Engine For Sale

GA16DE Engine For Sale

The GA16DE is a 1.6 L or 1597 cc engine produced from November 1990 through the model year 1997. The series GA of Nissan engines for sale is provided in various forms at GotEngines.com. The GA series ranges from 1.3L to 1.8 L and is a straight-4 cylinder engine. It makes use of a cast iron engine block and an aluminum alloy head. Nissan manufactured both SOHC (single overhead cam) and DOHC (double overhead cam) versions. 12 valve & 16 valve variations, and models with carburetors, single point and multi-point injected versions, and versions with variable valve timing. The GA series was produced from August 1987 through 2007.

There are two versions, the NVCS, (NVCS is an acronym for Nissan Variable cam system, it is found in the GA16DE, and the RB series of Nissan engines too. NVCS is not to be confused with Honda’s V-TECH system which electronically changes lift and duration on demand at high revolutions per minute (RPM) to give higher peak power. The Nissan’s system uses cam phasing to increase low to mid end engine torque.) which produced 115 hp and later 120hp. Two versions of the North American NVCS system were produced, however. The most important internal difference was the change from earlier motors pistons with 2 compression rings and 1 oil ring, to the later GA16DE’s piston setup, which have a single compression ring and a single oil ring.

Being a very popular engine for many reasons, the main ones being economy and reliability. When we examine the applications, it’s easy to see that the main intent was to serve the economy series of Nissan cars for many years. Which it did very successfully.

Applications:
* 1991-1994 Nissan NX 1600 N14
* 1991-1994 Nissan Sentra B13
* 1994-1995 Nissan 100NX B13 (UK)
* 1991-1994 Nissan Presea R10
* 1995-1996 Nissan Presea R11
* 1995-1999 Nissan Sentra B14
* 1995-1999 Nissan 200SX B14
* 1995-1999 Nissan Almera N15

How To Rebuild Engines Properly

Buy Rebuilt Engines For Sale Cheap

Buy Rebuilt Engines For Sale Cheap

Lengthy Realistic Question: Hi, I am currently in a dilemma as to what years of vehicles I am looking to buy. I’m pretty handy with cars, I’ve rebuilt a 1971 vw bus before, I know how to rebuild engines properly and maintain most anything like that. My problems come to bear on newer vehicles with all the ‘drive by wire’ features that are now incorporated into EVERYTHING. So obviously I have a little sway towards the older, and IMO simpler, vehicles. Currently I have a 2008 Chevy silverado that has been nothing but problems. Broke down 9 times with the same issue that GM could never fix. At my wits end now, I want to sell it and buy another vehicle but I am so disgusted with all the problems I’ve had with this one and its overly complicated computer systems which I know nothing of how to fix. I want to go with an 80-90′s Toyota Land cruiser. My budget is about 5k so I know whatever truck(need one for work so no cars) I do end up getting is going to need maintenance as it will most likely be over 100k miles. My round about question is…Am I crazy for wanting to go with something older, knowing it will need more maintenance but also knowing that I could most likely fix whatever breaks?

Answer:
You raise a legitimate question and I don’t think your crazy, you have a different vibe and that is cool. I feel the same way for the most part. I’m not so impressed with the sea of new cars. Looks like a rolling new car lot.

New cars have plenty of complicated issues to deal with. The manufacturers give really long warranties with new cars just to build confidence. But if the car is in the shop, what good is it? You have to respect the people, especially older folks who want the confidence of driving a newer car.

With that being said, I follow your line of thinking. I have mentioned many times I drive a 1988 GMC 1 ton 4×4 pickup, I bought it new and have driven it respectfully and taken excellent care of it and it runs perfect today. It’s not for sale!

Older rides are easier to fix and cost less to fix most of the time. Personally, I would search for something made in the ’90′s, so parts in general are not so hard to get. I would also search for something very carefully and have it checked out before you buy it. Foreign vehicles can cost more, and be more complicated to fix, especially than an air cooled ’71 VW bus.

Sometimes you can find for practically a give away price, a vehicle in the age group you like with a bad engine that is really clean otherwise. That is a great way to buy an older ride. You can buy a rebuilt engine and install it yourself. You mentioned your mechanical skills in your question.

A modern V6 or V8 with a cooling system is a lot more complicated to rebuild than a VW engine. Believe me, I have rebuilt both. So if you take an avenue I suggest and find something to your liking with a bad engine, maybe GotEngines.com has the resources in stock to supply you with a cost effective engine replacement to make your new deal sweeter. Give us a call.

Freightliner Engines For Sale

July 23rd, 2010

Freightliner Truck Corporation is not new to the Truckers who haul goodies all over the country. Some may remember when the company was called White Freightliner. Freightliner Trucks now is a division of Daimler Trucks North America, the largest manufacturer of heavy-duty vehicles in North America and a leading manufacturer of medium-duty vehicles.

Since Freightliner engines for sale are not made ”in company”, Freightliner uses a variety of diesel engines as power-plants. The most popular currently used engines are manufactured by Detroit Diesel using the models # DD15, # DD13 and #DD16. They also use one Cummins diesel engine in their line, model # 1SX15. Using some Daimler Benz truck diesel engines as well since they are called Daimler Trucks NA.

In particular, because Freightliner uses other solid brands of engines, please click over to the Cummins page to learn more about Cummins engines, the Detroit Diesel page and so on, in order to learn more about the particular engine in your truck.

Owners of Freightliner trucks already know about which engine is in their truck. I know you are not here for a history lesson.

The process we go through to rebuild engines for Freightliners is the most thorough in the industry. Noting that truckers expect extraordinary amounts of mileage and reliability before needing a rebuild. Truckers expect industrial or commercial grade products, and are not as sensitive to cost as the average engine buyer.

How fast we can get them back on the road with the finest rebuilt engine is what truckers need. When they are not driving, they don’t make money, and the products don’t get moved, so it’s very serious anytime a large truck hauling goodies is off the road.

Some of the specialists at GotEngines.com are actual large truck engine specialists, helping the folks with a large piece of equipment with a commercial sized diesel engine in it. 2UZFE engine for sale

July 22nd, 2010
2UZ-FE Engine For Sale. # 1 GotEngines.com

2UZ-FE Engine For Sale. # 1 GotEngines.com

The 2uzfe engine for sale Toyota was a 4.7 L manufactured for the larger Toyota vehicles from 1998 to 2005. In metric terms it is 4,664 cc engine, and in US terms it is 284.6 cubic inch engine. Built in the US at the Toyota Motor Manufacturing Alabama. It is a large engine by Japanese standards and uses low (RPM) revolution per minute power to power larger and heavy vehicles effortlessly.

Like it’s small brother the 1UZ-FE, it has aluminum DOHC (double overhead camshafts) in the cylinder heads, with MFI fuel injection, 4 valves per cylinder, solid one-piece cast camshafts, and a cast aluminum intake manifold.

Used primarily in the some of the large Lexus vehicles and the Toyota 4Runner and Tundra it is a long lasting hi-torque engine. Toyota racing division offers a from the factory bolt on turbo kit for the Tundra and 2003 GX 470 Lexus. So it was designed for performance purposes in mind.

From 2005 through 2009 the 2UZ-FE came with the VVT-i (Variable Valve Timing with intelligence) and electric throttle wire setup. An automobile variable valve timing technology developed by Toyota.

The point of a big lazy engine powering a luxury vehicle, SUV or a work vehicle is that a large engine will rarely have to work very hard, by not straining itself and having more power than is really ever needed the engine just loafs along. Because it is loafing, it is barely working, which keeps vibration levels undetectable inside the vehicle.

Operating at low rpm’s (revolutions per minute) allows an engine to last much longer and achieve better fuel mileage than a small engine that is working it’s booty off all the time. I’m a big fan of big lazy engines. I wholeheartedly buy into large lazy engines over small hi revving hard working engines.

If history is not an interest to you and you need to find a replacement engine for sale asap, we definitely have plenty of resources to help out. Our most effective resourse is our education system. We encourage you to examine some more blog posts related to Toyota engines.

We also have several trained live representatives who are waiting to listen to your needs and help educate you over the phone regarding which type of replacement engine will suit your needs and budget. Our inventory is complete with used engines, JDM used engines, rebuilt and remanufactured engines. Our goal is to ship the engine of choice to you today or tomorrow, getting you back in operation.

V12 Engine For Sale

V12 Engine For Sale..1997 Toyota Century 01

V12 Engine For Sale..1997 Toyota Century 01

One of my friends, who leads his life a bit differently than me gave me a call the other day and said ”you know who has got a V12 engine for sale for my Toyota”. It’s got the Toyota V12 Engine & trans, engine # 1GZ-FE, 5.0 L. This guy is an oddball, and he has an oddball vehicle. The 1GZ-FE and Toyota’s other V12 engine, the 2GZ-FE were only available in Japan. They were never offered in American Toyota’s.

Somehow he got one in the US already re-calibrated to meet the US emission standards. He likes unusual cars, to say the least. He is always surprised at how much it costs to fix specialty cars. Like he pours every cent into buying the car without thinking about what will happen if it breaks. He never has any extra money and rents a room in a house.

So, there are a lot of people who have really cool and expensive cars, who have a giant loan payment and basically nothing else. Big wheels and low profile tires, you have seen them and know what I mean.

Well my pal, you are in luck. While there is no inexpensive way to buy any V12 engine cheap, low production highly specialized engines are like hens teeth, hard to find. But, I went on to mention that I have a hookup for all engines and I’ll bet they have or can locate a V12 engine fast, with plenty of mileage left on it and affordable.

I also told him I could not physically take part in the swap because I’m still rehabilitating my right shoulder from major shoulder surgery, to put it simply, my shoulder was rebuilt. I told him, with a soft easy chair, a fan and a gallon of fresh squeezed orange juice I’ll sit there and advise the engine exchange.

I set the stage and called GotEngines.com and spoke to Paul about the matter. I was not surprised, he located in rapid manner a JDM used engine for sale fast. It had an excellent warranty and was available to ship ASAP. It also had been pre-tested for performance and leakage problems in advance, certified good.

We spoke a few days later and he was floored. He said ”when I called them, the man really sold me on the company by providing all sorts of information I never knew about and explained what JDM engine means”. ”What really drove the nail home was the price was lower than some of the companies I Goggled to see what a competitive price range is”. The last thing he told me was the engine would be here that day, and the OJ, and chair would be waiting for me this weekend.

3VZ Engines For Sale Cheap, Find Out Why?

Relaxed? Try GotEngines.com. 3VZ Engines For Sale

The 3VZ-FE was designed and put into production by Toyota when it was discovered that more power was needed, so a larger V6 series of Toyota Camry engines was designed. Suiting the then-upcoming 3rd generation Camry models. Its basic design is basically an improved variation of the 3VZ-E’s block, mated with the DOHC (24 valve) FE V6 heads by Yamaha design. Including Toyota’s most technologically engineered OBD-I control system.

It is a well mannered engine that was used in the Camry making it a 3.0 L V6 . North America saw the engine only in 1992 and 1993, while Australia and New Zealand had it from 1992 through 1996, and the engine was available in some parts of Asia.

Though harder to find in good used condition in North America (unless imported), the 3VZ-FE is a fairly common V6 in most parts of the world. They are cheap, simple, have few problems, and have become a semi-popular subject for engine swaps.

The 3VZ-FE also started Toyota’s trend of overbuilding certain areas considered weak in their production V6 engines. Having a stronger forged steel crankshaft, and stronger connecting rods, they are capable of handling more than doubling the stock power output easily. Easily adding more horsepower in a reliable manner using a turbocharger, supercharger or nitrous oxide.
We really don’t get very involved in engine swaps, however this is a popular engine swap in some Toyotas used for street racing, drag racing and road racing. It’s overwhelming durability makes it a sensible and cost effective swap.

With the bulk of 3VZ-FE used engines on the market being used up, our efforts had to be more creative, so we turned to locating other sources of good used engines with low mileage. Ever heard of the (JDM) Japanese Domestic Market?

JDM engines are low mileage used engines that come out of cars that won’t pass the strict inspection laws in Japan. To understand better why Japan, for instance would have no use for engines that reach as low as 35,000 miles has to do with their strict emission laws. So, with only 25,000 miles to 40,000 miles, engines in the suggested countries will not meet emission requirements anymore.

Instead of disposing of the engines, most of them are shipped to the USA and the emissions are re-calibrated to US standards and then they are sold at prices so low you don’t believe it the first time you hear the price.

Once the engines are fully examined and certain changes made for America, they are distributed to the engine replacement companies with the best long term track records. Only the proven and most reliable engine supply companies can resell these engines.

Other companies may claim to sell used JDM engines, just remember, not all JDM engines are the same. Some will not meet our standards, where they go is not our concern, just be careful.
We have been one of the leading dealers of JDM motors for years now. One way we outperform the competition is simple, we sell only the best products, which in-turn, creates a terrific value for the customer. Our customer service is unmatched in satisfaction and efficiency.

Call one of our friendly sales representatives and ask them all of the tough questions. Ask about JDM motors for sale. Our top goal is to lay out some education in terms you will understand so your choice in engines fits your bill perfectly. It’s all about the customer experience. GotEngines.com @ 1-888-344-8044.

5.0 Engines for Sale

July 19th, 2010
Certified Ford 5L Engines For Sale

Certified Ford 5L Engines For Sale

Ford vehicles produced during 1987-1991 were offering a more powerful engine to get the job done, if more power, or performance were desired by said owner. Which is how the development of the trusted Ford V8 engines family and the high performance Ford Boss 302 5.0 engine began.

This engine’s wonderful manners and ease of power along with being super reliable has never really been given the respect it’s due. Sometimes nothing said is good. The fact is the performance versions were a group of unparalleled engines in terms of performance and durability rarely matched by other manufacturers.

It is a popular engine, a well respected engine that can be offered in practically any form your imagination can dream up. Success is it’s second name, since drag racers could not get enough of them and it made sufficient power for everyday use and powered Ford fleets of F150 through F-350 trucks for years.

Rebuilt with ”twenty-ten” updates, which improve economy and performance and last longer, not simply replaced or swap! All of the remanufactured Ford 302 5.0 Engines purchased exceed all factory specifications and using modern components where applicable to improve your driving experience.

Much of the success came from it’s early versions at the beginning of the ’70′s. The 302 was designed with performance in mind. It’s success on the race track in either drag cars or on road racing courses prompted all of the other American car manufacturers to follow suit with their own versions of small block high performance power.

Due to a solid design and well engineered parts the integrity of the racing engines was passed on to the street engines. Which made them particularly desirable to the folks who were not interested in dealing with unnecessary engine problems.

Your best bet when it comes down to deciding on what engine option suits your interests best is most probably a rebuilt or remanufactured variation of the power-plant. Due to the demand for older versions, the used engines are not so readily available anymore. The newer redesigned 5L engines can be purchased in used low mileage versions, which is a very viable way to purchase an engine. All engines are turn key, bolt them in and start them up.

Call and speak with one of our representatives. We aim to educate you so you understand why we recommend certain engine models depending on your budget and needs. We also understand that being without your car costs big time. Shipping occurs the same day or next day so you can be back behind the wheel asap.

5SFE Engines For Sale

July 18th, 2010
Toyota 5SFE Engines For Sale Cheap and Fast

Toyota 5SFE Engines For Sale Cheap and Fast

If you are interested in some unwritten, real life technical details on the Toyota 5SFE 2.2L engines, sorry to say I can’t add anything new. Without going to the dealer and asking questions or looking through shop manuals, nearly every bit of tech info I have come across is pretty standard and easy to find, especially on Wikipedia.

This engine was a very reliable and popular engine, with only a few problems. The 5S-FE is a non-interference engine, designed to prevent the pistons from striking the valves if either of the camshafts were rotated separately from the crankshaft (a situation most commonly found during a timing belt failure). This is not an insignificant problem to have. Regardless of what is said about the pros of a non-interference engine, when a timing belt breaks, expect other serious issues.

One way to prevent timing belt breakage is quite simple. Read your owners manual. They make it abundantly clear in the manual how important it is to have the timing belt changed at regular intervals. For instance the intervals run from 75,000 to 100,000 miles depending on the brand of car. There is normally a large sticker on the valve cover warning you of this procedure.

So what is a person to do if the timing belt breaks? A lot depends on the mileage of the engine in question. Regardless of mileage, a diagnosis needs to be performed by a professional to find out if and what else may have become damaged, or to see what else is going to need renewing in the process of replacing said timing belt.

A lot of circumstances will put you in a spot where you have to decide to put X amount of dollars in an older engine with high mileage, which can be risky, since there is no way to see how much wear is in the rest of the motor. Now if the engine is relatively low in mileage, for instance less than 75,000 miles, it may be worth repairing.

Don’t take timing belt issues lightly because it is always a serious issue. However if the motor in your car has a lot of miles on it, yet the car itself is in good shape, let me recommend a good used engine for your car. Most instances where a timing belt breaks on an older engine warrants a replacement engine.

The issue is what is more cost effective. Cost effective is not sinking a great deal of money repairing an old engine, thus waiting for the next costly failure. Cost effective is letting us show you our array of good used low mileage engines for sale with long term warranty’s. Allow us to assist you in choosing the right engine for your needs. Our job is to supply enough information to you, in terms you understand so you confident in buying the exact engine for your needs. Call now.
