Rebuilt Buick Engines for sale are cheap and reliable…

October 3rd, 2009

Understanding that I am more than capable of doing a 100,000 mile tune up. Most folks who are not mechanics would be better steering away from this over complicated and expensive procedure. First off, I like to do this type of stuff and secondly, I have the tools and knowledge. If you don’t have the above desire or ability, and you need a tune up on an engine that has an advertised tune up schedule of 100,000 miles, than it may actually cost less to buy a rebuilt Buick engine and have it installed, as opposed to the massive amount of labor and parts to do a 100,000 mile tune up properly.

Replacing the whole engine costs less labor than the labor required for doing a 100,000 mile tune up. A case can be made for a replacement engine if you own a car with the 100,000 mile tune up schedule. Realistically speaking, by the time an engine hits 100,000 miles, there are a lot more components like the water pump, bearings, piston rings and intake manifold throttle shaft bores that have the same mileage on them too. The way I like to put it is that I like my cars, they were picked out to suit my needs and they still suit my needs. I plan to keep them for a long time, so I take good care of.

I don’t take any chances. Since I don’t have any payments, it is no problem to do a long term repair to my car or truck. Bottom line, I would rather lower my odds of breaking down on the road as a much as possible. So far it has worked well for me.

If My 1995 Buick Roadmaster 5.7L Wagon had 100,000 miles on it and I did not have the time, tools and ability to do my own tuneup, I would consider the cost of a rebuilt engine. The difference may be small enough, that buying a rebuilt engine instead of fixing an old engine is more cost effective in the long run. If you are following my posts than you know my car has a bit over 70,000 miles on it and needs a tune up.

It’s time to put this series of posts to bed. The average person needs a reliable and dependable car. Fixing small stuff is a no brainer, if you end up having to make a decision on an expensive repair, like whether to buy a rebuilt engine or spend almost as much money to do a 100,000 mile tune up, then Call GotEngines.com @ 1-877-268-0664 and get a free quote.
