JDM engines are from the Japanese Domestic Market. What that means is the engines in cars in Japan and other foreign markets have to meet such strict emission standards that their engines are not able to meet emission standards in their originating countries much past 40,000 miles. Obviously 40,000 miles or less on used JDM engines is very low mileage for an engine in the USA.
The cars have to be ‘cut up‘ into separate usable major components like engines to be shipped to the US. Once the engines arrive in the USA, they are modified to meet our emission standards and thoroughly checked out on some hi-dollar test equipment to make sure the used JDM engines will have a certification tag showing that it meets or exceeds our (GotEngines.com) standards.
Buying a low mileage used JDM engine for a foreign car is probably the best choice in replacement engines. At this point in time, with no let up foreseen in the future, you can buy a foreign JDM engine for sale really cheap, or more appropriately, at a very affordable price.
We have discussed in past articles that many Chrysler products, Ford products and GM products use foreign engines in some of their cars. Most of the US auto manufacturers have agreements with one of the Japanese engine and auto makers to use the same engines in some models of both foreign and domestic cars. For instance Mazda and Ford share engines. So a lot of used Mazda engines are a perfect fit in a Ford car too. Chrysler and Mitsubishi share many engines and Gm and Izuzu have several common engines. The coverage adds up when you see this correlation between foreign and American cars.
Another vitally important thing to mention about JDM engines are that if you should be in the market for any type of replacement motors for your car, call GotEngines.com @ 1-888-344-8044 and talk with a representative about your choices in all forms of engines for sale.
