I wanted to share with you an experience my sister had with a repair shop in Kensington, Maryland. My home town. I’m very familiar with Tom and think the world of him, but I had no idea of the incident until way after it happened. It just that it has nothing to do with engines, however the shop she used does do engine replacement work too.

I have known Tom for about 45 years, we probably melted the rubber off of more rear car tires in the 60s with our hot rods than most folks go through tires in a lifetime. I’m not proud of it, but it was fun.
My sister who is said to be really smart, but being her brother I have my questions!! She was driving from her house in Ohio to see the parents and heard a scraping noise while driving (I probably got some of this story wrong, but it really is not that important), she ignored it, she knows better, but that is my sister, and I love her despite it.
She took the car to him, I forget if she left it or waited, but when she picked up the car she asked for the bill. Tom said no bill, you owe me four ninety five. So she thinks four hundred and ninety five dollars. she is a real sweetie pie as far as sisters go, but she was ready to lay out $495.00 Check or Cash or Credit Card.
The bill was $4.95 cents. The front valence, you know, the part you always bump when you pull into a parking spot. It was dangling and Tom put a plastic hold down button in the missing hole to cure the problem, it took about 3 minutes too.
Tom has taken care of my parents cars for 30 years and has become a friend of theirs too. He runs the type of outfit that should be a model for repair shops. I don’t wish bad luck on anyone, but if you have any car problem when you are in that area (it is about 15 miles from downtown Washington DC and all the cool museums, etc.) and have any problem, possibly even needing a replacement engine, see Tom, trust is not an issue with him, BTW, he gets his rebuilt engines from GotEngines.com @ 1-877-268-0664
