Nissan created its luxury car division in 1989—the Infiniti Division.  What’s so interesting about Infiniti cars?  The Infiniti engines, of course!   Infiniti cars—sedan, coupe and crossover utility vehicles—have eye-catching lines, an impressive aerodynamic build and are comfortable, too.  However, it’s really the motors that make it great.  While Infiniti is made for many foreign markets, it is not made and sold in Japan itself—the same cars are made under the name of Nissan instead.

Infiniti nearly didn’t make it through the first decade or so—though, this was likely simply due to insufficient public relations efforts.  After ramping up efforts and relaunching the campaign in 2003, Infiniti began building prestige in American markets with the help of the G35.  Of course, the Infiniti motors were a part of the re-stabilization, too.  Sales finally began to take off, and Infiniti began to change their lineup—reclassifying some of the vehicles, and creating new ones.  With a crossover utility vehicle—CUV—that could compete with other luxury makers such as BMW and Audi, Infiniti was starting to do better.

Infiniti began to stabilize even more, and in 2008, decided to open up dealerships in a number of European countries.  Not quite as many models are offered in the European dealerships, but with time, and proof of how well the Infiniti motors work, that should change.  Consistency and safety are built into the Infiniti motors, as well as a gentle ride—that’s what makes the Infiniti a luxury car.
